Summary: Great location (for one or more nights) en route to/from Serengeti and Ngorogoro, just 30 mins drive from entrance to the latter. In the opposite direction are the Taragine and Lake Manyara National Parks, both about 1.00-1.25 hours’ drive away. Situated in well-maintained and secure grounds, the individual rooms/lodges are generally of a high standard and quiet. Staff were exceptionally attentive. Food was buffet style - ok but no more than average. Live entertainment (local dancers & acrobats) early evening a must-watch. Overall, ‘not cheap’ but compared to other nearby luxury hotels, probably good value. However, a few minor niggles (e.g. no shade poolside as the one in situ broken, little storage space in the room, even no toilet brush in the bathroom!) which should not be there for the price charged
